Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work setting, utilizing telehealth platforms to connect with clients. You will be adapting your therapeutic approach to a virtual environment while working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team. The flexible nature of remote work allows for adaptability in addressing the unique needs of students. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker on our team, you will:

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students, identifying their strengths and challenges.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address the specific mental health issues and emotional well-being of each student.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions aimed at promoting emotional regulation and effective coping strategies.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that encourage personal growth, fostering a supportive environment for all participants.

• Collaborate with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

• Manage crisis intervention for students experiencing mental health emergencies, providing immediate support.
\n
• Offer psychoeducation to students and families, educating them about mental health conditions and available resources.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in line with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in team meetings, case conferences, and continuous professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus primarily on students within the special education system, including those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and other emotional and behavioral disorders. You will be directly impacting their lives by addressing mental health challenges that affect their educational success and personal development.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Connecticut.
\n
• A solid understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and trauma-informed care principles.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
