Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while serving a vital community. As part of our Mental Health Team, you will collaborate with educators, therapists, and other professionals to deliver comprehensive mental health services. Your work schedule will typically span Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekends as necessary to meet the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments of students to identify their specific needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address mental health issues, enhancing emotional well-being and promoting successful school integration.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to students with ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, and trauma-related concerns.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to encourage personal growth, emotional regulation, and the development of effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, ensuring that students receive holistic support.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies.

• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, available resources, and coping mechanisms.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities.

• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines in the field of mental health.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW license in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, although exceptional new graduates may be considered.

• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care practices.

• Demonstrated proficiency in mental health assessments and the formulation of treatment plans.

Preferred Experience\n
