Work Environment\n

This role is designed for remote work, which provides flexibility and allows you to accommodate your workflow and schedule. While most work will be conducted from home, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, therapists, and administrative staff, to deliver holistic care. Occasionally, participation in team meetings and professional development activities may require your presence at the hospice center in Goodyear, Arizona.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments specifically designed for students with a range of special needs to identify their unique challenges and needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to address mental health issues, enhancing emotional well-being and ensuring successful integration within the educational setting.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing a variety of approaches to support students facing ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and trauma-related issues.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at promoting personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping strategies among students.
\n
• Collaborate with a network of professionals, including teachers, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, ensuring that students receive integrated and comprehensive support.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor to help students navigate difficult situations.
\n
• Educate students and their families on mental health conditions and available resources, providing psychoeducation that empowers them to advocate for their needs.

• Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions and interventions according to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Engage in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing training to enhance your skills and share insights with peers.

• Stay current with the latest laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines relevant to mental health practice and social work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on students who exhibit a variety of special needs, including those affected by autism spectrum disorder, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and trauma. You will be instrumental in developing specialized strategies that recognize and support the unique needs of each student, thereby enhancing their overall educational experiences and mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Arizona.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proficient in mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working with children and adolescents in educational or clinical settings is preferred.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer proficiency.

Compensation and Benefits\n
