Work Environment\n

This position is based in Joliet, Illinois, but operates entirely remotely. As part of our dynamic Community Health Clinic team, you will engage directly with clients and their families from the comfort of your home office, ensuring flexibility while making a profound impact on lives. The role involves working with a skilled Child Family Treatment Team, facilitating seamless communication and shared goals for positive client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-home individual therapy sessions or group therapy in our outpatient center, adapting methods to fit each child's unique needs.

• Implement evidence-based techniques to support clients in managing anger, enhancing coping strategies, and developing essential social skills while addressing and reducing high-risk behaviors.

• Collaborate closely with caregivers to enhance decision-making skills, thus equipping them to better manage behavioral challenges in the home environment.
\n
• Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to review and modify treatment strategies as needed.
\n
• Ensure meticulous documentation of all sessions, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to established timelines.
\n
• Attend and contribute to monthly team meetings, providing insights and recommendations to continuously improve our service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on a diverse demographic of children aged 3-20 who face developmental and intellectual disabilities. Working with clients who have exceptional needs, you will engage with families to provide culturally sensitive and effective therapeutic services tailored to each child's situation, ensuring an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A minimum availability of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm), with some weekend availability considered an asset.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle to travel for in-home visits.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies.
\n
• Previous experience working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities or complex behavioral issues.

• Proficiency in bilingual Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable to enhance our service to bilingual families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
