Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions either in the client's home or via teletherapy, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for clients.

• Implement treatment strategies that address behavioral challenges, teach coping mechanisms, and enhance social skills development tailored to the individual needs of each child.

• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other relevant professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to treatment, fostering a culture of shared knowledge and teamwork.

• Focus on equipping caregivers with practical skills to effectively manage behavioral difficulties at home, thereby improving overall family dynamics.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and intake records, meeting all regulatory and organizational deadlines.

• Participate in monthly meetings to provide insights and updates on client progress, discussions on case management, and contribute recommendations for service improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on delivering therapeutic services to children and adolescents aged 3-20 who experience a range of challenges including developmental disabilities, cognitive impairments, and behavioral issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory to practice.

• Flexibility to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, focusing on after-school hours (4-7 PM) along with some weekend availability.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a registered vehicle for home visits.

• Pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children who have intellectual or developmental disabilities, providing positive behavior support is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
