Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions tailored to the therapeutic needs of children and their families, ensuring sessions engage clients effectively, whether delivered in-person or remotely.

• Implement evidence-based practices in providing intensive in-home therapeutic services, focusing on anger management techniques, coping strategies, and enhancing social skills.

• Utilize behavioral interventions to reduce high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and physical aggression, thus improving the overall well-being of the youth in your care.

• Work closely with Child and Family Treatment Teams and multidisciplinary professionals, participating in regular case meetings to effectively address complex cases and share insights.

• Document relevant case management activities and therapeutic interventions within required timeframes, ensuring comprehensive records for intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

• Engage in monthly team meetings, contributing recommendations for enhancing service delivery and therapeutic approaches based on frontline observations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on providing essential support services for children and teens facing developmental challenges and intellectual disabilities. The licensed therapist will engage with a diverse clientele, ensuring every therapy session is tailored to the individual needs of each child and their families. Your role will be crucial in supporting primary caregivers by empowering them with effective techniques and resources to manage behavioral challenges at home.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related mental health field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory to fulfill the responsibilities of this role.

• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically from 4 PM to 7 PM, with added weekend availability considered a strong plus.

• Proven experience in delivering positive behavior support initiatives to children and families.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous work experience with youth aged 3-20, particularly those with developmental or intellectual disabilities, is highly advantageous.

• A valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for traveling to clients' homes when necessary.
