This position is designed to provide remote therapeutic services while also offering in-person support at our outpatient office when necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver individualized evidence-based mental health interventions tailored to children exhibiting early signs of mental illness, including serious emotional disturbances (SED).

• Form and nurture relationships with community partners, including schools, daycares, and faith-based organizations, to create a cohesive support network for your clients.
\n
• Engage in multi-generational therapy by providing counseling services to parents and caregivers, ensuring that they are equipped with tools to foster positive family dynamics.

• Utilize group and family therapy strategies to instill resilience and promote effective coping mechanisms among clients and their families.
\n
• Administer culturally sensitive educational workshops addressing the impacts of trauma and adverse childhood experiences on child development and family dynamics.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will be primarily on children aged 3-20 who are facing developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will work closely with various family structures, supporting caregivers in understanding how to best nurture and engage their children. This role will require adaptability and sensitivity to the unique cultural and emotional contexts that influence family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Psychology, Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in California is essential for this role.
\n
• Flexibility to provide therapy during after-school hours (typically between 4-7 PM), with some weekend availability preferred.

• Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is mandatory to effectively engage with our diverse client base.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children struggling with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with positive behavior support strategies and their implementation within therapeutic settings.

• You should possess a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for potential outreach and community involvement.

• A background screening and fingerprinting will be required as part of the onboarding process.

Compensation and Benefits\n
