You will engage with clients primarily through virtual sessions, providing therapy in the comfort of their homes or through our outpatient virtual center. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions remotely, focusing on the mental health needs of children with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that address the unique challenges faced by each child and their families.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development.

• Assist families in enhancing their decision-making skills to efficiently manage behavioral challenges at home.

• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team as well as other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
\n
• Document all required paperwork, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within designated timelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings and contribute to discussions regarding case reviews and recommendations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position will primarily focus on children and adolescents aged 3-20 years who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. We are particularly seeking licensed bilingual therapists who can provide services in Spanish or Portuguese, allowing us to serve a broader range of families within the community. Your role is crucial in delivering individualized support that empowers clients and families to navigate their unique challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory for this position.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with flexibility for additional hours on weekends highly advantageous.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Prior work experience with children aged 3-20, particularly those with emotional and behavioral challenges.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for any required in-person tasks.

• Successful clearance of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
