Work Environment\n

As a remote employee, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working from your own space while being an integral part of our child and adolescent psychiatry team. Your work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of children and adolescents, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider the unique developmental stages of young patients and their family dynamics, incorporating both therapeutic and family-centered interventions.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of each patient, focusing on issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to strengthen caregiver relationships and assist parents in developing skills to support their children's mental health.

• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated approach to care, sharing insights and strategies during treatment planning meetings.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring that children and their families receive immediate care and guidance.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, empowering them with knowledge and community resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards in documentation.

• Engage in ongoing professional development activities and participate in team case consultations to stay informed about the latest research and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and various behavioral disorders. You will work closely with both young patients and their families, providing individually tailored therapeutic approaches that consider their unique situations and promote a supportive, understanding environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and active licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities that cater specifically to younger populations.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering individual and family therapy to children and adolescents, with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling rapport building with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications to manage patient documentation effectively.

• A willingness to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, valuing the input and expertise of colleagues in the field.

• At least 2 years of experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably within a child and adolescent psychiatry setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
