Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients presenting with mood disorder symptoms—assessing their intensity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize validated therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective treatments.

• Educate clients and their families on the nature of mood disorders, exploring treatment options, and encouraging self-care practices to enhance treatment outcomes.

• Monitor client progress meticulously and adjust treatment strategies as necessary based on ongoing assessments.

• Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, in a coordinated approach to care for clients with complex needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist in this role will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, the clinic serves various populations, including low-income families, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your expertise will support clients in their therapeutic journey, helping them develop coping strategies and resilience as they face their unique challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Valid and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
