Serta Lane Consultation and Counseling Center is actively seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with a focus on child and adolescent care to join our dedicated team. This full-time position allows for a flexible remote work environment, enabling you to make a significant impact on the mental health of young individuals and their families from the comfort of your home or our outpatient office in Stockton, California.

Work Environment\n

Our work setting is primarily remote but includes opportunities to engage in face-to-face interactions within our outpatient office. You will have access to a supportive and collaborative team, ensuring you are well-equipped to provide the highest standard of care. Our typical working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but occasional evening shifts may be required to meet the needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs of children and adolescents, using established diagnostic tools and interviews.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, thoughtfully considering each patient's developmental stage and family dynamics.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family systems therapy, tailored to address various mental health issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication and cooperation among family members in nurturing supportive environments.
\n
• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient.
\n
• Provide immediate intervention and support during mental health crises, ensuring the safety and stability of children and adolescents in distress.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatments, and community resources to empower them in the healing process.
\n
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines, including treatment notes and progress reports.

• Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations to contribute to the team’s growth and share knowledge of best practices.

• Stay informed about current trends and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to continuously enhance the quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will predominantly work with children and adolescents coping with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. You will play a crucial role in building rapport and trust with young clients and their families, fostering an environment of safety and support that allows for effective therapeutic engagement.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting dealing with child and adolescent mental health is preferred.
\n
• Solid understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and a thorough knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy to young patients, utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on compassion and a child-centered approach to care.

• Ability to establish rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families, facilitating a therapeutic alliance that enhances treatment outcomes.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and competent in using relevant computer applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
