Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that account for the cultural backgrounds and personal experiences of your patients, enabling you to devise personalized treatment plans.

• Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of each patient, be it through cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or other relevant techniques.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing a wide range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and psychologists within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients receive comprehensive and holistic care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, helping to stabilize patients and connect them with appropriate resources.

• Educate patients and families about mental health, available treatments, and local resources to promote their understanding and ownership of their mental health journey.

• Maintain precise documentation and record-keeping in accordance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient progress and outcomes.

• Engage in regular case conferences and team meetings, showcasing your commitment to team dynamics and ongoing professional development.

• Stay abreast of the latest research, best practices, and cultural considerations in therapy to enhance your service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on serving individuals from various cultural backgrounds, including those from ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant populations. This role calls for a deep understanding of the social determinants of mental health, as well as a commitment to deliver care that respects and integrates patients’ cultural identities and narratives into the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• You must possess a master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California is necessary for this position.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and proven experience with evidence-based treatment modalities responsive to culturally diverse populations.

• Exemplary crisis intervention skills alongside a composed demeanor in high-pressure situations.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that foster rapport with a wide array of individuals.

• Proficient in using EHR systems and familiar with various computer applications pertinent to mental health services.

• A strong commitment to ethical practice, maintaining confidentiality, and establishing professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
