Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing you to engage with patients from the comfort of your home while still being a part of a dedicated clinical team. With a work schedule of Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you may occasionally be required to work evenings depending on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of each child and adolescent, utilizing evidence-based methodologies.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, considering developmental milestones and family dynamics.
\n
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family therapy to aid in the emotional and psychological recovery of our young clients.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention as necessary, providing immediate support during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Foster a supportive and nurturing environment by delivering family therapy sessions aimed at educating and empowering parents and caregivers.
\n
• Collaborate with our team of skilled child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care.
\n
• Maintain detailed and confidential records in compliance with legal standards, ensuring continuity and quality of care.
\n
• Engage in regular team meetings, case consultations, and continuous professional development activities to stay informed on best practices and advancements in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role concentrates on supporting children and adolescents facing an array of mental health challenges. You will work closely with various age groups from early childhood through late adolescence, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet the specific developmental and emotional needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
\n
• A valid and active license in New York State as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, ideally focusing on child and adolescent therapy.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of current therapeutic practices, child development theories, and mental health diagnosis.
\n
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate approach that builds trust and rapport with clients.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and comfort with utilizing technology in a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in crisis intervention strategies and delivering therapy in both individual and group settings.

• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with children and their families through creative therapeutic methods.

• Familiarity with community mental health resources available for children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n
