Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand and evaluate the specific needs of children and adolescents, developing insight-driven approaches to their care.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that take into account the developmental stages of patients and the dynamics of their family environments.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and mindfulness techniques tailored to address specific mental health concerns.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers, helping them build nurturing environments conducive to their child’s mental health.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a seamless integration of care, promoting holistic treatment approaches.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, providing reassurance and stability to young clients through focused interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on young individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. You will interact with children and adolescents, supporting them in navigating their unique experiences while simultaneously engaging their families to foster a supportive environment for healing and growth.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A minimum of three years of post-licensure experience in mental health settings, specifically working with children and adolescents.

• Thorough understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders along with knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Demonstrated experience delivering individual and family therapy, effectively communicating and fostering rapport with clients.
