Work Environment\n

This role is structured as a remote telehealth position, allowing for flexibility while ensuring access to high-quality mental health support. You will engage with clients through virtual platforms, utilizing technology to maximize therapeutic interaction and effectiveness. Your work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as necessary to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to determine the unique needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that consider the developmental stages of young clients and the dynamics of their family environments.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to effectively address mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, providing guidance and support to parents and caregivers to enhance home environments and promote emotional resilience.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and fellow mental health professionals to coordinate holistic care and improve treatment outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and appropriate support for children and their families.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, treatment pathways, and available community resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on children and adolescents facing a range of mental health disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and various behavioral disorders. You will work closely with families to understand the broader context of a child's challenges, promoting a collaborative and supportive approach to mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting with a focus on child and adolescent mental health.

• Thorough understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n
