Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate the specific needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Implement therapeutic interventions including individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy sessions focused on building coping strategies and emotional resilience.

• Assist during mental health crises by providing immediate support and interventions.
\n
• Facilitate psychoeducation sessions with patients and their families about mental health conditions and available community resources, promoting understanding and reducing stigma.

• Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health record (EHR) documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in weekly team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development to stay informed about the latest research and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily involves working with children and adolescents dealing with various mental health disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues. As a vital member of our outpatient team, you will engage with both the clients and their families, facilitating a supportive network that emphasizes holistic care and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required.

• Current licensure as an LCSW-R, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in New York State.

• Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment techniques.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with both children and their caregivers.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote setting, utilizing EHR systems efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience providing therapy to children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n
