Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews to pinpoint their specific needs.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans, taking into account each patient's unique developmental stage and family background.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, tailored to address various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions focusing on enhancing communication and building supportive home environments that promote emotional well-being.

• Engage in case collaboration with child psychiatrists, pediatricians, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care for patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support as needed, delivering timely responses to mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.

• Ensure accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Regularly participate in team meetings and training sessions, contributing to case discussions and staying updated with the latest evidence-based practices.

• Continually pursue professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged between 5 to 18 years, who may present a variety of challenges including emotional distress, behavioral disruptions, and developmental concerns. You will play a crucial role in helping young individuals navigate their mental health journeys while also providing essential support to their families.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in New York.

• Strong knowledge base regarding child and adolescent mental health disorders and therapeutic interventions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on fostering a compassionate environment.

• Proficient in utilizing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications necessary for teletherapy and documentation.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years post-licensure experience in delivering mental health counseling to children and adolescents, with demonstrated success.

• Experience with both individual and family therapy modalities is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The Health Benefits Behavioral Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 – 120,000 based on experience and qualifications.
