As a remote position based in Lakewood, New Jersey, you will work within a Hospice Center that connects with local schools and community organizations to address and fulfill the diverse mental health needs of students. We prioritize a work-life balance, offering flexible schedules that support personal and professional commitments. The role may involve occasional in-person collaboration with team members and community partners when necessary.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students enrolled in our partner educational institutions, taking into account their backgrounds, presenting issues, and individual risk factors.

• Collaborate with students to create tailored treatment plans aimed at fostering emotional health, resilience, and successful integration within school life.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care techniques, to manage and ameliorate various mental health disorders.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging personal development, enhancing emotional regulation, and equipping students with effective coping strategies.

• Partner with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals—including psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners—to ensure a comprehensive approach to student mental health needs.

• Respond to crisis situations with timely interventions, employing de-escalation techniques and facilitating referrals to higher levels of care as needed.

• Educate students and families on mental health conditions, therapeutic options, and community resources available to support ongoing mental wellness.

• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing an efficient electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case reviews, and continuous professional development to stay updated with current practices and strengthen team collaboration.

• Adhere to relevant laws and ethical guidelines that govern mental health practice, particularly in school settings.

You will primarily serve a diverse student population, including those coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, and various behavioral challenges. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Valid and active LCSW licensure in the state of New Jersey.

Compensation and Benefits\n
