Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Outpatient Care Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Peak Performance Physical Therapy. This full-time, onsite role at our outpatient office in Ontario, California, is designed for a compassionate professional who can assist patients in regaining their mobility and quality of life through evidence-based treatments and personalized care. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare providers, including two physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to identify individual goals and needs related to their orthopedic conditions.
• Manage an efficient caseload, typically treating one patient per hour, ensuring that each session is focused and tailored to optimize recovery.
• Employ evidence-based practices to develop comprehensive treatment plans that integrate various therapeutic techniques, focusing on improving range of motion, strength, and mobility.
• Implement effective treatment interventions aimed at enhancing functional performance while minimizing reliance on pain medications and avoiding surgical options whenever possible.
• Design and customize fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's specific rehabilitation objectives and lifestyle requirements.
• Provide ongoing motivation and support to patients, fostering a positive mindset while promoting commitment to their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain open lines of communication with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive and thorough care across all aspects of treatment.
• Thoroughly document all patient interactions and progress in compliance with industry standards, utilizing EMR software such as WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• Proven track record of maintaining an unblemished professional record without board or disciplinary actions against licensure.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques, demonstrating the ability to integrate these methods into treatment plans.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in orthopedic outpatient settings with specific expertise in rehabilitation techniques related to a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Strong skills in developing and implementing specific exercise protocols tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

Peak Performance Physical Therapy offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
