Key Responsibilities\n

As a Telehealth Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will encompass a range of clinical tasks, including but not limited to:

• Conducting in-depth clinical assessments to understand client needs and establish personalized treatment plans that reflect their goals and aspirations.

• Providing individual, family, or group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices tailored for diverse issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders.

• Preparing comprehensive discharge summaries following client sessions to monitor progress and articulate future directions in care.
\n
• Collaborating with other community resources and referral sources to facilitate additional support and maintain continuity of care.

• Conducting regular programmatic meetings, including clinical supervision and team discussions, to enhance service delivery and share insights across disciplines.

• Managing and documenting all clinical interactions within a stipulated timeframe to remain compliant with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

• Providing emergency support in accordance with our after-hours on-call schedule, ensuring client safety and welfare at all times.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about working with this varied population, equipped to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet the unique needs of each client, including those dealing with substance abuse, trauma, and other adjustment disorders.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license to practice as a professional counselor in the District of Columbia (LPC, LMFT, LICSW).

• A Master’s Degree in a human services-related field is required to ensure a robust foundation in mental health principles.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is beneficial; however, willingness to learn and adopt new technologies is essential.
