Work Environment\n

This position allows for a predominately remote work setting, enabling our Mental Health Therapists to provide care from the comfort and safety of their environments while still being closely connected to our outpatient office team in Santa Clarita. Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some flexibility required for evening shifts based on client needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health and substance use history to identify their specific needs and create tailored treatment goals.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• Lead individual counseling sessions that provide clients with valuable coping strategies and tools to help them manage their recovery journey effectively.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions to foster community support, promote peer interaction, and enhance communication skills among clients.
\n
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for clients.

• Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support as clients face substance-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on addiction, recovery methodologies, and available community resources to empower them as advocates for their own health.

• Maintain professional documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, documenting client progress and treatment adjustments.

• Participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices and advances in substance use disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including alcohol, prescription drugs, and illicit substances. You will support diverse populations, addressing emotional, psychological, and social aspects of addiction recovery. Each client presents unique challenges, which will require sensitivity, effective communication, and a personalized approach to foster trust and accountability in the therapeutic process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or Psychologist in the state of California.

• Strong understanding of substance use disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities dedicated to recovery-oriented care.

• Demonstrated competence in delivering both individual and group therapy, with a specialty in addiction treatment methodologies.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy and non-judgmental support, to build rapport with clients and their families.

• Commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to ethical guidelines while ensuring patient confidentiality.

• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and modern computer applications to manage patient information effectively.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience providing therapy in an addiction treatment setting and a proven track record in client engagement and recovery success.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $120,000 annually, competitive within the industry and reflective of your expertise and experience.
