Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gain insight into clients' trauma histories and inform treatment decisions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that specifically address each client's unique trauma experiences and goals for recovery.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma experiences and cultivate effective coping strategies.
\n
• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective intervention.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention services during trauma-related emergencies and distressing moments.
\n
• Educate clients and their family members on trauma responses, coping skills, and available support resources that can aid recovery.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case consultations and attend team meetings focused on trauma-informed care practices and treatment evaluations.

• Commit to continuous professional development by staying current with the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will be working primarily with adults who have faced significant life traumas, including but not limited to, veterans, survivors of abuse, and individuals facing changes resulting from health crises. This role requires sensitivity and a deep understanding of the psychological effects of trauma, and the therapist will play a pivotal role in clients' journeys towards recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited educational institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or psychologist in the state of California.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.

• Skillful in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and maintaining compliance with documentation standards.

• Ability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating both leadership and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
