Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to diagnose mental health disorders using established clinical protocols.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that incorporate a range of therapeutic modalities.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications for patients, continually assessing their effectiveness and adjusting dosages as needed.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services utilizing approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), ensuring a tailored therapeutic experience.
• Collaborate with a broader healthcare team to ensure patients receive holistic and coordinated care, integrating insights from different disciplines.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and strategies for self-care and empowerment.
• Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up visits and document care outcomes meticulously in accordance with established guidelines.
• Engage actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to discuss treatment progress, share insights, and enhance care strategies.
• Adhere to legal and ethical standards in all aspects of practice, maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and organization policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population experiencing a range of psychiatric conditions, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and behavioral issues. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with a valid Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
• Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is required.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with a keen understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits
