Work Environment

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in our assisted living facility, you will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team setting alongside psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and support staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments to accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices tailored to each patient's specific needs.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, continuously monitoring their effectiveness and making necessary dosage adjustments.
• Provide psychotherapy services, employing a range of therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Collaborate with a team of mental health professionals to coordinate holistic treatment approaches, ensuring continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health conditions, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Document patient progress meticulously, including medication responses and therapy outcomes.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment effectiveness and facilitate adjustments as needed.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program.
• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
