Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and align with patients' specific needs.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications, documenting their effectiveness and adjusting dosages as required.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
• Collaborate with a cohesive team of mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and unified treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques to empower their recovery.
• Monitor and document patient progress, including responses to therapy and medications, to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to evaluate treatment satisfaction and outcomes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and clinical supervision sessions to enhance collaboration and share expertise for improved patient care.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required); Master’s degree in Nursing or a Nurse Practitioner program with a specialization in psychiatric mental health (preferred).

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in New York State.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
