We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic team at Perspectives in Healing. This full-time position is based onsite in Babylon, New York, within a concierge medicine environment, allowing you to provide personalized psychiatric care to individuals and families in our community.

Work Environment

Located in Babylon, NY, our practice offers a unique work setting focused on concierge medicine and house calls. This innovative approach allows you to engage with patients in their own environments, creating a comfortable space for mental health discussions. Our work hours are full-time from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a structured yet flexible schedule that supports work-life balance while ensuring that our patients receive timely and consistent care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health conditions in patients.
• Provide effective medication management, including prescribing, monitoring, and adjusting medications as needed for optimal treatment outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with primary care providers and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement integrated care plans that address both mental and physical health needs.
• Offer crisis intervention services during emotional distress situations, utilizing evidence-based techniques to stabilize and support patients.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options through counseling and psychoeducation sessions.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records while adhering to HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and data protection.
• Participate in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness of mental health topics and engage the community in health promotion activities.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and documentation processes for mental health services.

Compensation and Benefits
