Work Environment

The position is located in our outpatient office in Babylon, New York, where you will work onsite alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals. The work schedule is structured with regular business hours from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring a work-life balance while meeting the needs of our patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations to accurately diagnose patients with various mental health conditions, utilizing evidence-based practices to guide treatment plans.
• Manage medication regimens, carefully monitoring the effectiveness and side effects of prescribed treatments, while making necessary adjustments in collaboration with patients.
• Facilitate crisis interventions during periods of emotional distress, employing trauma-informed care techniques to ensure a safe therapeutic environment for patients.
• Work closely with primary care providers and multidisciplinary team members to deliver integrated care strategies that address both mental and physical health needs harmoniously.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives, including educational workshops and mental health awareness campaigns to promote understanding and access to mental health resources.
• Provide individualized therapeutic support through counseling sessions and psychoeducation to empower patients in managing their mental health challenges.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring that all documentation reflects the highest standards of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a diverse patient demographic, including individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. Understanding and incorporating cultural competence into your practice will be essential in establishing trust and rapport with patients.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health.
• Valid state licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a psychiatric focus.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 200,000 to 250,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
