Work Environment

This position is onsite, offering the benefit of direct patient interactions in a comfortable and conducive environment for healthcare delivery. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals focused on specialized cardiology services in a setting that emphasizes direct patient care and health education. The role entails a Monday to Friday schedule, typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing work-life balance while ensuring that your expertise is fully utilized during working hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients by obtaining comprehensive medical histories and performing detailed physical examinations to identify cardiovascular issues.
• Utilize advanced tools to administer and interpret various cardiac diagnostic tests, such as stress tests and echocardiograms, to support accurate diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patients’ specific cardiac needs, addressing both acute and chronic conditions.
• Collaborate closely with cardiology physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, coordinated care and optimal health outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health, prevention strategies, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications to enhance long-term health.
• Order and review laboratory tests, integrating findings into patient care strategies and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Stay current on advancements in cardiovascular medicine and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills.
• Maintain a patient-centered approach that focuses on both the physical and emotional well-being of patients, thereby fostering trust and engagement.
• Prescribe medications in compliance with New York State and federal regulations while evaluating the effectiveness and safety of all prescribed therapies.
• Participate in team-based discussions to continuously improve care delivery and health outcomes across the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically targets adult patients dealing with various cardiovascular issues, including heart disease, hypertension, and arrhythmias, as well as patients managing chronic conditions that can lead to cardiovascular complications. The position requires a commitment to delivering empathetic care tailored to each patient’s individual health journey.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution.
• Graduation from a Nurse Practitioner program that is recognized by the New York State Education Department.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Nurse Practitioner, specifically focusing on cardiovascular care.
• Possession of Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a recognized accrediting body, such as ANCC or AANP.
• Active and unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to connect with a diverse patient population.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and other digital tools to enhance care delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a concierge medicine setting is highly desired, as it entails a unique approach to patient engagement and care delivery.
• Familiarity with integrated healthcare models and collaboration among multidisciplinary teams is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
