Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients from infancy through young adulthood, monitoring their growth, health, and development.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of common childhood ailments such as infections, allergies, and minor injuries.
• Administer vaccinations and provide preventative care recommendations to parents and guardians.
• Develop and manage treatment plans that meet the individual needs of patients, ensuring follow-up care is in place.
• Maintain meticulous patient records to track health developments and treatment outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding health, nutrition, and fitness needs, fostering an open environment for questions and concerns.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. This role is vital in establishing strong patient relationships, providing ongoing support, and ensuring that families feel engaged in their child's health journey. You will monitor patients frequently within the critical first two years and conduct annual check-ups as they transition into adolescence.

Qualifications

• A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from an accredited institution, specifically in pediatric or family nurse practitioner programs.
• An active and valid New York Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.
• Current Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) board certification.
• DEA registration for prescription writing, with the ability to complete this upon credentialing.
• Experience working in a clinical setting providing primary care and diagnostic services.
• A collaborative spirit, with a proven ability to work well within a team of healthcare professionals to enhance patient experiences.

Preferred Experience

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly desirable, enhancing communication with a diverse patient population.
• Previous experience in pediatrics or a related field within a clinical environment.
