Work Environment

This position is onsite at our Assisted Living Facility, which fosters a supportive and collaborative workplace. Our multidisciplinary care team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and administrative professionals, all working together to provide comprehensive cardiac care. You will play a vital role in this dynamic environment, ensuring each patient receives personalized attention and treatment plans tailored to their unique health needs.

Key Responsibilities

As an Advanced NP in Cardiology, you will:

• Collaborate closely with cardiologists to deliver specialized outpatient care.
• Evaluate and manage patients suffering from chronic conditions such as Hypertension, High Cholesterol, and other cardiovascular diseases.
• Provide outpatient-only Electrophysiology services, addressing abnormal ECGs, arrhythmias, and managing device patients.
• Conduct assessments and manage patients with acute conditions, including Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Valvular Heart Disease (VHD), and Transient Ischemic Attacks.
• Administer and interpret Stress Testing as clinically indicated.
• Document patient histories, perform thorough physical examinations, and prescribe medications as necessary.
• Refer patients to specialized care within the organization when appropriate.
• Educate patients and their families on managing their health conditions, promoting proactive engagement in their care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient cardiology practice serves mainly adult patients experiencing various cardiac conditions. You will engage with individuals who may have complex health histories and will require comprehensive evaluation and management strategies. Your role in enhancing their understanding of cardiovascular health will be pivotal in achieving optimal health outcomes and improving their lifestyle.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field.
• A graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with active certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP).
• A valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Current certification and an active practice license.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome both new graduates and seasoned Nurse Practitioners, candidates with prior experience in cardiology-related inpatient or outpatient settings will be particularly favored. Familiarity with cardiology-specific procedures, such as stress testing and arrhythmia management, will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 220,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
