Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to diagnose and assess varied mental health disorders, using standardized assessment tools.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapies and address the unique needs of each patient.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, regularly monitoring their effectiveness and making dosage adjustments as necessary.
• Deliver psychotherapy and counseling services, employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Collaborate closely with a network of mental health professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated treatment approach for each patient.
• Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance overall treatment adherence.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of patient progress, therapy outcomes, and medication responses, ensuring information is up-to-date and accessible.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment efficacy, address patient concerns, and modify treatment plans as required.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences to foster professional growth and improve collective patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at our center, you will serve a diverse clientele facing a variety of mental health challenges. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, with a focus on psychiatric mental health.
• Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license issued in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits
