Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments, gathering comprehensive medical histories and performing physical examinations that adhere to the standards of women's health.
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on the latest research and guidelines, ensuring that each patient's unique health concerns are addressed.
• Monitor patients throughout their treatment journey, conducting daily rounds to assess progress and make necessary adjustments to their care plans.
• Prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, and interpret diagnostic results while coordinating with medical teams to discuss findings and adjustments to care.
• Collaborate closely with fellow practitioners, including health educators, social workers, and nutritionists, to deliver holistic care.
• Document all aspects of patient care, including discharge summaries and prescriptions, while providing clear post-discharge instructions to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate actively in ongoing education and training to enhance the delivery of care, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with specialization in Nurse Practitioner studies.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license in New York State, along with certification as a Registered Professional Nurse.

• Ability to establish a collaborative practice agreement or maintain a collaborative relationship according to the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act.
