Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the individual needs of children and adolescents, utilizing standardized assessment tools.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address developmental stages and family dynamics, ensuring culturally competent care.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and play therapy, tailored to the specific needs of young patients.

• Deliver family therapy sessions to guide parents and caregivers in creating an affirming and supportive environment for their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to construct a holistic care approach that addresses the complex needs of our clients.

• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies involving minors, employing de-escalation techniques and crisis management strategies.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment modalities, coping strategies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Play an active role in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

• Stay updated with the latest research, best practices, and advancements in child and adolescent mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. Our practice is committed to providing age-appropriate care, as well as engaging families in the therapeutic process to foster a collaborative approach towards recovery and wellness.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a child and adolescent mental health setting.
\n
• Thorough understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with familiarity with evidence-based treatment approaches and modalities.
\n
• Proven experience providing individual and family therapy to youth, with an approachable and empathetic demeanor.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on building trust and rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Competence in managing electronic health record (EHR) systems and utilizing computer applications for documentation and communication.

• Ability to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting a collaborative work environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
