Work Environment\n

This remote position allows therapists to work autonomously while being connected to a supportive network of colleagues. Our outpatient office, located in Chicago, serves as a collaborative hub for our team, providing a space for meetings, training, and team-building activities. The work schedule typically spans Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility needed to accommodate patient schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments that are culturally sensitive, integrating individual patient histories and current mental health statuses to develop personalized treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based interventions during therapy sessions, like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the individual’s cultural background and specific needs.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques aimed at fostering resilience and coping mechanisms.
\n
• Work in coordination with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support, sharing insights and treatment progress to enhance patient care.

• Deliver crisis intervention and rapid response strategies during mental health emergencies, ensuring timely and effective support for at-risk individuals.

• Provide education to patients and families regarding mental health conditions, available treatment options, and connect them with community resources to ensure continuity of care.

• Maintain up-to-date and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in team collaboration through case conferences, actively contributing to discussions and sharing knowledge on best practices for diverse patient care.

• Attend training sessions focused on cultural competency to enhance understanding of different cultural perspectives in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counseling center is dedicated to serving a varied population that includes individuals from diverse ethnicities, LGBTQ+ communities, and recent immigrants. As a therapist, you will have the opportunity to address a spectrum of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationships, using an inclusive approach that respects and acknowledges each patient's unique background and circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Extensive knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatments, and cultural competency in delivering therapy.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic services, both individually and in groups, with a strong focus on culturally responsive methods.

• Proficient crisis intervention skills, with the capacity to manage challenging situations effectively.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of establishing rapport with a diverse range of clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems as well as other relevant software applications.

• A commitment to ethical practice, confidentiality, and maintaining professional boundaries.

• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for patients.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
