Work Environment

Located in the vibrant coastal city of Corpus Christi, Texas, our surgical center is a thriving work environment characterized by a collaborative team culture. As a full-time staff member, you will enjoy a structured yet flexible schedule, with anticipated workdays spanning 3-4 days each week. Importantly, all weekends and holidays are guaranteed off, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. You will engage with a high-volume patient flow, averaging 20-30+ patients daily, in a fast-paced yet fulfilling setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, gathering comprehensive medical histories, performing physical examinations, and evaluating symptoms to ensure accurate diagnosis of dermatological conditions.
• Formulate personalized treatment plans, tailored to each patient's unique needs and medical backgrounds, utilizing both clinical expertise and compassionate care.
• Execute a variety of dermatological procedures, including but not limited to, biopsies (shave, punch, excisional), bacterial/viral/fungal cultures, cryosurgery, electrodesiccation, intralesional and intramuscular injections, and comprehensive skin exams.
• Provide patient education on preventative care, fostering a strong emphasis on health promotion and the management of dermatological diseases.
• Facilitate close collaboration with the supervising dermatologist and healthcare team members to optimize patient care and ensure continuity throughout treatment cycles.
• Maintain meticulous patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with relevant coding and billing practices, while keeping detailed documentation of patient interactions and treatment outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance effectiveness and comfort, always prioritizing patient safety.
• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in team meetings and educational seminars, staying informed about the latest advancements in dermatology.
• Exhibit superb interpersonal skills, displaying a friendly demeanor while addressing the needs of patients, particularly those who may be underserved or have limited medical knowledge.
• Adhere rigorously to ethical and legal standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and a commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Current state medical license and certification as a Physician Assistant.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 200,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
