Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team at Brook Physician Assistant Clinic located in Lockport, New York. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, and implementing comprehensive medical care for patients in collaboration with supervising physicians. You will work within the full scope of your licensure, ensuring a high standard of care across various settings. Your duties will include direct patient care, patient and family education, and facilitating smooth transitions of care. Furthermore, you will provide medical consultations, perform therapeutic procedures as delegated by your supervising physician, assist in a variety of clinical procedures, and ensure continuity of care through an organized, multidisciplinary team approach.

Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our clinic, where you will work a standard schedule from Monday to Friday, typically starting at 5:00 pm and spanning 40 hours each week. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patients’ medical histories to assess their health conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies, to inform clinical decisions.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of health conditions, employing evidence-based practices in family medicine.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients suffering from chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications, monitor patient responses, and make necessary adjustments to treatment regimens.
• Maintain comprehensive and organized patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of care provided and follow-up plans.
• Educate patients and their families on disease management, preventive measures, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Facilitate effective communication among patients, families, and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate actively in daily rounds within the hospital environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
• Stay abreast of the latest medical advancements and best practices through continued education and professional growth.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies is required.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Proven clinical experience in a family health clinic or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong foundation in family medicine with a focus on comprehensive patient care.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families.

• Must possess a valid DEA number.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
