Sous Chef – Four Seasons Hotel Chicago We invite you to join our leadership team at the Four Seasons Hotel Chicago as a Sous Chef. The Sous Chef is an essential member of the Food & Beverage leadership team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests and employees. Responsibilities Partner with the Executive Chef to create an environment that motivates, trains, and retains talented kitchen staff. Work collaboratively with the Executive Chef and Adorn Executive Chef to align kitchen operations with the broader vision of the hotel and restaurant. Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, food quality, and presentation. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and cost control. Support the kitchen team in the preparation and plating of dishes. Adapt to shifting priorities by accepting assignments on an as‑needed basis. Work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. Qualifications Valid U.S. work authorization required. ServSafe certification; ServSafe allergen training. Proficient knife skills. Strong leadership, training, motivation, and communication skills. College degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience (required). Three to five years of culinary leadership experience; experience in independent restaurants preferred. Michelin experience required with preference for two or three Michelin Star experience. Ability to operate computer equipment and food & beverage computer systems. Ability to operate culinary production equipment and tools. Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Second language preferred. Benefits Compensation Range $67,000 - $77,000 Comprehensive learning and development programs.
