Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of clients.
• Engage clients through evidence-based therapeutic techniques in individual, family, and group counseling sessions to address a variety of mental health challenges.
• Implement a range of interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with ethical standards and local regulations.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and share insights about client progress, challenges, and strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending relevant workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of the latest mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals and families who have limited access to mental health care, addressing a diverse array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California is a must.
• A minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience is required, ideally within a therapeutic context.
• A solid understanding of legal and ethical standards governing mental health practices is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with diverse clientele are critical for success in this role.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency in managing electronic medical records (EMR) and telehealth systems are necessary.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization or additional training in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use counseling is highly preferred.
