Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your essential job duties will include:

• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions to address client needs, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each patient's circumstances.
• Collaborating with site supervisors to hold supervision sessions that promote professional development and improved clinical outcomes.
• Participating actively in staff meetings and clinical discussions to ensure cohesive care strategies and share insights on best practices.
• Engaging in thorough preparation for client sessions, which involves reviewing case notes, conducting research, and assessing client needs.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records in both written and electronic formats to comply with regulatory standards.
• Coordinating with partner agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to care that includes referrals and external services.
• Documenting client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring that each client has a personalized Individual Treatment Plan (ITP).
• Assisting in interpreting psychometric assessments under the guidance of the treating therapist to support treatment planning and reporting.
• Researching and implementing best practices for diverse client assignments as directed by your supervisor.
• Facilitating client consultations and liaising with other agency professionals to foster a holistic treatment network.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse patient population that includes individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will provide care to clients across different age groups and backgrounds, ensuring that each individual receives tailored support to achieve optimal mental health outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field.
• A valid Social Work License or equivalent credential (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) as mandated by state regulations.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to establish rapport and trust with clients, ensuring a therapeutic relationship conducive to healing.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients alike.
• A clean history regarding medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
