Work Environment

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients through virtual consultations, gathering insights about their mental health status and history.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that may involve various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness practices.
• Facilitate regular counseling sessions, whether individual or group-based, providing essential coping strategies and support tailored to each patient’s journey.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient interactions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA and our clinic’s ethical standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, including referring patients to psychiatrists for medication evaluations when necessary.
• Provide crisis intervention and support during challenging scenarios, utilizing strong de-escalation skills to maintain patient safety and well-being.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in team meetings to discuss case management and share insights to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your capacity as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse array of patients, including those dealing with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Emphasizing cultural competence, you will tailor your therapeutic approaches to accommodate the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client, ensuring a respectful and effective therapeutic alliance.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current, valid license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating a broad understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
• Proven ability to work with diverse populations, employing cultural competence in therapy.
• Strong familiarity with EHR systems and other necessary technologies that streamline the therapeutic process.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing and conducting both individual and group therapy sessions.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
