This full-time, remote position involves providing comprehensive mental health care to a diverse client population through our telehealth platform. Work Environment

This role is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while still being a vital part of our healthcare team. Our telehealth infrastructure empowers counselors to engage with clients efficiently, using secure messaging and virtual therapy sessions. You will utilize various digital health records systems, such as AVATAR, to keep track of client progress and maintain up-to-date documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews and document findings throughout the treatment process.
• Assess and evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify their specific needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices suitable for various populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open communication and transformation.
• Monitor ongoing client progress throughout the therapeutic journey, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Follow up with healthcare providers regarding clients who may need hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
• Identify and proactively address behavioral issues that may inhibit a client's recovery process.
• Provide support and resources to family members and primary caregivers, guiding them in managing their loved ones’ mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a broad spectrum of clients, including those dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Our clientele encompasses various age groups and backgrounds, allowing you to leverage your expertise in culturally sensitive practices and tailor interventions to meet each individual’s unique circumstances and goals.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in New Jersey.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor in clinical settings.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with electronic health records, specifically AVATAR, and proficiency in managing digital documentation.
• Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders and knowledge of addiction treatment.
• In-depth understanding of the latest therapeutic interventions and guidelines outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Strong insight into the effects of medications commonly prescribed for mental health issues, facilitating better collaboration with medical professionals.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus.
