Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to establish clients’ mental health status and define their treatment needs, adapting approaches to each individual.
• Create personalized treatment plans that address clients’ specific challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to promote effective recovery.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring the use of methods that resonate with clients.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to discuss client progress, share insights, and adjust care strategies as needed to enhance patient outcomes.
• Engage clients’ families in the therapeutic process, providing education and guidance to foster a supportive home environment that aids recovery.
• Maintain confidential client records in line with ethical guidelines and regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate documentation of sessions and treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding clients through their personal challenges and enabling them to reclaim their lives.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated training or considerable experience in mental health counseling, with a strong foundation in clinical techniques and intervention strategies.
• A thorough understanding of evidence-based practices and the ability to apply these techniques effectively to various mental health disorders.
• Exceptional counseling and relationship-building skills, with a talent for motivating and empowering clients in their recovery journeys.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills that facilitate teamwork and cohesive treatment planning.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a community health clinic setting or similar environment that emphasizes holistic mental health care.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and remote counseling practices.
• Training in trauma-informed care and culturally competent counseling.
