We are looking for a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Therapist to become a vital member of our flourishing School Counseling Center located in Mercer Island, Washington. Work Environment\n

This full-time position allows for a flexible work approach that includes remote and in-person options based at our outpatient facilities. You will work primarily on campus, where you’ll have access to state-of-the-art resources and facilities that enhance your ability to connect with students effectively. Regular business hours are expected, with some evening availability during peak times to accommodate students' schedules.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and screening for students to evaluate their mental health needs and formulate individualized treatment plans.

• Provide short-term individual counseling services to students facing a variety of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, and academic stress.
\n
• Lead therapy groups and workshops designed to facilitate discussions on mental health topics pertinent to student lifestyles, enhancing their coping strategies and resilience.
\n
• Collaborate with other university personnel, including academic advisors, faculty, residential support staff, and student organizations, to create a cohesive network aimed at student success.
\n
• Engage in proactive outreach efforts, such as spearheading mental health awareness campaigns and organizing wellness events, to promote a culture of health on campus.
\n
• Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards by maintaining accurate, confidential documentation of student interactions and treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary clients will be students enrolled in our institution, ranging from diverse backgrounds with various mental health concerns. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with young adults navigating the complexities of higher education, including social pressures, academic demands, and personal development challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of the unique mental health challenges faced by college students.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with students and collaborate with a diverse team.
\n
• Proficiency in evidence-based practices and brief therapy models that are particularly effective in a university setting.
\n
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently in a dynamic and sometimes fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with adolescents or emerging adults in a school or clinical setting is highly preferred.

• Experience implementing innovative therapeutic programs or initiatives tailored to student populations.

• Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and trauma-informed care.

• Competitive annual salary between USD 70,000 and 104,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
