Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents, utilizing standardized tools and age-appropriate techniques to determine needs.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that encompass therapeutic goals, family input, and evidence-based interventions aimed at addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

• Provide targeted and effective therapy, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), art therapy, and family systems therapy to encourage positive outcomes.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions that empower parents and caregivers with strategies to support their children’s growth and emotional stability.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and educational personnel to ensure a unified approach to each patient's care, enhancing the supportive network surrounding each child.

• Deliver crisis intervention and immediate support for children and adolescents experiencing mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.
\n
• Educate families about mental health conditions and available resources, providing them with tools to foster a nurturing environment at home.
\n
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of all patient interactions in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards, using advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in team meetings and case consultations to refine therapeutic approaches and share insights with colleagues.

• Stay current with research advancements and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry, integrating new knowledge into daily practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, ADHD, and behavioral concerns. You will work closely with a diverse group of clients, ranging from young children to teenagers, providing care that respects their individual differences and contexts.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensure as an LCMFT, LCSW, LCP, LCPC, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.
\n
• Deep understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, along with practical knowledge of therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine interest in understanding and helping young individuals and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms for delivering care.
\n
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of direct clinical experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.

• Familiarity with school systems and the ability to interface effectively with educators and school personnel.

• A background in community mental health services and an understanding of resources available to families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
