Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments to evaluate the needs of both children and adolescents, utilizing intake interviews and standardized assessment tools.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider the developmental stages of your clients as well as family dynamics, ensuring a tailored approach for each young person.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to address various mental health disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, guiding parents and caregivers in creating nurturing environments to support their children’s growth and recovery.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, participating actively in case discussions to provide coordinated and holistic care.

• Respond to mental health crises by providing immediate support and intervention strategies to children and adolescents experiencing acute distress.

• Educate clients and families about mental health conditions, discussing treatment options and community resources that can aid their recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and further professional development activities to keep abreast of current best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

• Engage in continuous learning, staying informed about the latest research and advancements in therapeutic approaches applicable to your work.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents, aged 5 to 18 years, who present a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, attention disorders, and behavioral issues. This role requires a strong commitment to understanding the unique needs of young clients, as well as their families, and promoting their mental health resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred.
\n
• Expertise in child and adolescent mental health disorders, including knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience delivering individual and family therapy to youth, demonstrating a compassionate and child-centered approach.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technology to document care and track client progress.
\n
• Ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating collaboration and respect for diverse professional opinions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Arbor Health Care Services offers a competitive salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
