Key Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Physical Therapist will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of new patients to assess their needs and develop individualized treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
• Implement treatment plans, consistently measuring patient progress and making adjustments as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions and the treatments they will receive.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes, adhering to all relevant healthcare regulations.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives and participate in marketing and program development processes.
• Supervise and mentor support staff including aides, students, and other practitioners.
• Stay current with best practices by participating in professional development opportunities and attending staff meetings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient office serves a diverse population, focusing primarily on orthopedic conditions. As such, you will work with various patient demographics, including athletes recovering from injuries, post-operative patients, and elderly individuals requiring rehabilitation. Understanding the unique needs of each patient and fostering a supportive, respectful environment is crucial to achieving successful outcomes.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred).
• A current State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with competency in necessary software and documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting will be highly regarded. Candidates familiar with collaborative care practices and interdisciplinary teamwork will excel in this role. Additionally, familiarity with rehabilitation technologies and therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy, electrical stimulation, and therapeutic exercises is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
