Work Environment

This role is conducted onsite within the community, as our physical therapists visit patients in their homes. You will have the autonomy to choose your hours, typically working Monday through Friday, ensuring a diverse and flexible schedule that can accommodate both your lifestyle and patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations of patients in a home care environment, identifying their needs and establishing personalized treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques including exercises, stretching, manual therapy, and specialized equipment to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
• Continuously assess and document patients' progress throughout their rehabilitation journey, modifying treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment techniques, assistive devices, and overall wellness strategies to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care and timely interventions.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops, reviewing literature, and participating in professional organizations to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse range of patients, including children, adults, and senior citizens who are recovering from various conditions such as post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and chronic pain. Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in the State of New Jersey.

• Strongly motivated and adaptable, with a passion for patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy is strongly preferred, where candidates have gained insights into various therapeutic techniques and patient interactions that enhance treatment efficacy. Although prior working experience in home care is not required, it can be advantageous in understanding the unique dynamics of providing care in a patient's residence.
