Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Regularly monitor treatment outcomes and progress as an active member of the interdisciplinary team.

• Provide essential guidance and support to families, ensuring that caregivers are equipped with tools and strategies to assist in their child’s mental and emotional development.

• Establish rapport with clients, families, and colleagues to create a supportive and positive therapeutic environment.

• Develop comprehensive joint plans with families that incorporate evidence-based practices, using insights from both clients and caregivers.

• Deliver training and resources to families on enhancing their child's development, incorporating natural teaching methods and a coaching model.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The services provided at New Dawn Wellness primarily cater to children and their families experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. As a counselor, you will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your approach to fit their unique cultural and personal circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current licensure as LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in a mental health counseling setting.

• Active Associate or Licensed status with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (or in progress).

• Demonstrated strong organizational and documentation skills, ensuring proper management of client case files and billing hours.

• Must be a self-motivated individual capable of driving initiatives and maintaining effective communication within the team.
