Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs and formulate appropriate treatment strategies.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, customizing approaches to fit the unique requirements of individual clients, families, and groups.

• Utilize various therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to address diverse client needs.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and proper care continuity.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training workshops to stay updated on mental health practices and emerging research.

• Collaborate effectively with other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care, sharing insights and treatment strategies during team meetings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a broad spectrum of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups from various backgrounds. Many clients may present with challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and substance misuse. Understanding the societal and cultural factors that affect clients' mental health will be crucial in tailoring your therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Possession of a current, active, and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.

• A minimum of three years’ experience in a counseling role, ideally within a clinical or therapeutic environment.

• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards relevant to counseling practice.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively connect with diverse clients.
