Work Environment

This role is primarily onsite, providing therapy in the comfort of our patients' homes within the Fort Lauderdale area. Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Implementing customized rehabilitation programs for individuals recovering from a variety of conditions, such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, pediatric challenges, and sports-related issues.
• Providing skilled therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's unique needs while adhering to the physician's prescribed plan of care.
• Monitoring patient progress closely and making adjustments to treatment strategies based on evaluation results and patient feedback.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service, building rapport with patients, and contributing to a supportive and effective therapeutic environment.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to maximize patient outcomes, utilizing evidence-based practices to ensure the best course of treatment.
• Consulting, educating, and providing training to patients and their caregivers, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey.
• Meeting established utilization goals and other organizational success metrics.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will encompass a diverse patient population, including:

• Individuals undergoing rehabilitation from orthopedic surgeries or injuries.
• Children with developmental delay or musculoskeletal issues.
• Adults and seniors with neurological conditions such as stroke or traumatic brain injury.
• Athletes needing specialized care for sports injuries and performance enhancement.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a capacity to establish strong therapeutic relationships.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with additional experience in home care settings, specialized treatment techniques, or areas such as geriatrics and pediatrics will be considered favorably.
